HELP WANTED: Walmart to hire hundreds in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Walmart is hiring for its newest Richmond-area store. The new store, slated to open this spring, is under construction near West Broad and Glenside in Henrico’s West End.

Walmart said it planned to hire about 200 people to work at the store. The company set up a temporary hiring center at 6920 Forest Ave., Suite 102. It is open Monday – Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, the company will offer a job to any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months,” the company wrote in a news released. You can find more information about that program here.

“The majority of new associates will begin work in April to help prepare the store for its grand opening,” the company said.
