Reward fund for police captain grows to $41,000

WAYNESBORO, Va. (WTVR) — The reward fund for Kevin Quick, the Waynesboro police captain whose body was found last week, has grown to $41,000.

The medical examiner positively identified Quick’s body, which was found in Goochland on Thursday.

Quick was reported missing Friday, Jan. 31 after he left his mother’s home in Afton. He was on his way to see the mother of his four-month-old daughter in Albermarle County.

Contributions to the reward fund can be made in person or by mail at the Waynesboro Police Department at 250 S. Wayne Ave. in Waynesboro or New Age Auto at 800 E. Main St. in Waynesboro.

Additionally,  numerous businesses in and around Waynesboro will be have buckets set up so folks can contribute to the fund.

The money collected will be held in trust by the Waynesboro Police Department for Quick’s daughter until all trials are completed.

Six people have been arrested in connection with Quick’s disappearance.
