CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A suspicious package outside the Midlothian offices of the Allen & Allen law firm was deemed not to be a threat.

“The package, which appeared to be a construction-related item with wires sticking out of it, was by the front door of an office,” Chesterfield Police spokeswoman Liz Caroon wrote in an email. “Virginia State Police, the ATF and the FBI responded to the scene. The item was determined to not be a threat; it appeared to be some kind of electrical part or item.”

Police were called to the 6100 block of Harbourside Centre Loop to investigate. Both Virginia State Police and FBI bomb squads responded to the scene.
