An entire community is mourning the loss of Deputy Lee House. Deputy House was killed after his car ran off the ran and plunged into a ice covered creek, sinking almost instantly.

A dive team had the car  pulled out Saturday morning.

Just after 7:00 Saturday morning, the Virginia Sheriff's Association announced Deputy House had died in the accident.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Golden Leaf Commons in Emporia.
