RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Residents living along Park Avenue, down Grove Avenue and in the Fan are still not receiving their mail. They noticed the change about two months ago.

"I don't get my mail here and they don't pick it up here," Danielle Williams said.

Other residents have noticed that their mail has been very unpredictable.

"It's inconsistent, one day you get a lot. A lot of days, you get nothing," Josh Smith said.

Resident James Doyle said he no longer leaves it to the Postal Service. "I just do not put it in my mail slot at my house," he said. "I actually take it either to the post office or to a box, which is pretty said."

The new concern among many residents now is tax documents. They're afraid they may not receive the appropriate documents in time to file their taxes.

"So before, if a letter came a couple of days late, no big deal right?" Ted Arden said. "Now you're impacting my finances, so now I'm actually physically concerned that I would not have my documentation in time for my taxes to be prepared."

Asked for comment earlier this week, mailmen in the area did not wish to comment on the matter.
