RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)- There is a new place to go in North Richmond if you are looking for a job.   Goodwill had a ribbon cutting this morning at it's new Northside Community Employment Center (CEC). It is there to better serve the unemployed and under-employ citizens of Northside.

This is the fourth CEC they have opened in Metro Richmond, and since is opened it's door in September, they have already served 1,741 job seekers, placing 76 people in jobs around Richmond. They provide career development services including resume reviews, interview preparation, job fairs, and a job resources room. Goodwill hopes to serve at least 2,400 job seekers at this center alone in the next year.

Goodwill’s CEC staffs also assist area employers in finding work-ready, qualified candidates for their existing job openings, as well as provide employee training options for those businesses. Last year, Goodwill’s CECs served over 17,000 individuals and placed 2,135 into jobs with area businesses.
