Washington Redskins introduce Jay Gruden as new head coach

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Washington Redskins have hired Jay Gruden as the team’s new head coach.

General manager Bruce Allen formally introduced Gruden as the team’s 29th head coach during a 4 p.m. news conference.

Gruden spent this past season as offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Gruden has head coaching experience. He served that role for the Arena Football League Orlando Predators.

Jay Gruden is the brother of Super Bowl winning head coach and ESPN analyst Jon Gruden.
