Police think man wanted for Hanover armed robbery is Richmond resident

HANOVER, Va. (WTVR)–

The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help to locate Donald D. Bailey, who they said is wanted for robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Bailey is also wanted by Henrico Police for one misdemeanor count of failure to appear in court. According to court records, Bailey failed to appear in court for his second offense of driving without a license.

Bailey is a 32-year-old black male, 6’1”, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, who is believed to be residing in the Richmond area.

The armed robbery occurred on Dec. 21, 2013, at approximately 9 p.m. at the Shell gas station located at 10114 Lewistown Road. After displaying a handgun and demanding money from the clerk, Bailey fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. 

No one was injured.
