Drive-by shooting in Northside leaves two injured

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–Monday night shots were fired at a car in Northside, in the Highland Park area.

Around 7:40 p.m. there were reports of shots fired from a vehicle near 5th Avenue and Magnolia Street.

A black vehicle fired shots into another car, according to police. The female driver was shot twice in the leg and the male passenger was hit in the arm.

Both have non-life threatening injuries, police said.  Police believe they found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned nearby, but the suspect is at large at this time.

No suspect description available, as police continue their investigation.
