Police investigate armed robbery on VCU campus

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)- Early Saturday morning, a robbery happened on the campus of  VCU at 120 S. Belvidere Street.

According to VCU police at 5:40 a.m., a victim reported being approached by two suspects, one displaying a hand gun.

The suspects took a wallet and cash, and fled onto W. Main Street.

No injuries were reported.

Suspect one is described as a black male, 5’8”-5’10,” wearing a brown bulky hooded coat, blue jeans with a design on the left rear pocket, and black skull cap.

Suspect two is described as a black male, 5’8”-5’10,” wearing a cream color jacket, blue jeans, light colored shoes with tan bottoms, and a black skull cap.

According to police, “the level of intoxication from both alcohol and drug use by the victim, solid facts surrounding the incident were not able to be gathered for a number of hours.”
