GOLD HILL, N.C. (WGHP) — She’s 98 years old, and can hold her own against those half her age when it comes to hunting. Katie Watson shot her first rabbit at 10, and 88 years later, she’s showing no signs of slowing down.
Her older brother let her shoot a rabbit for the first time all those years ago and she was bitten by the hunting bug. Watson grew up hunting rabbit, quail, turkey and just about any wild game she could get in her sights.
Watson is quite proud of the fact that she’s tagged 44 deer … since she turned 80.
