(CNN)–We’re not sure if this is a compliment or not, but Forbes magazine has named Adam Sandler as the most overpaid actor of the year.

On one hand, that doesn’t sound like a bad deal: the 47-year-old comedic actor still commands a healthy payday even though his most recent movies have been widely panned Razzie Award all-stars. But on the other hand, who really wants to be known as the guy who makes more than he’s worth?

According to Forbes, the “Grown Ups” star can demand a $15 million-and-higher paycheck despite the fact that his rate of return on the investment isn’t pretty.

By examining his last three films within the past three years up until June 1, the magazine calculates that for every dollar Sandler earns, he brings in just $3.40. That math factors in two of Sandler’s most recent flops, 2011’s “Jack and Jill” and 2012’s “That’s My Boy,” which earned $74 million and $36.9 million at the domestic box office, respectively.

The reason he can still ask for such a high fee is because not all of his movies are disasters. There are some projects, like, this summer’s “Grown Ups 2,” that turn out to be wins for the studio.

Following Sandler for the not-coveted title of second most overpaid actor in Hollywood is Katherine Heigl, who’s lately been trying to make the move to TV.

And in third place is Reese Witherspoon, who brings in $3.90 for every $1 she’s paid.
