LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (CNN) – An impromptu trip to Disney World turned into a double surprise for three Colorado boys. The kids were visiting Mickey Mouse at the Magic Kingdom when their dad, an Army Lieutenant Colonel deployed to Afghanistan, appeared during one of Mickey’s magic tricks.

The surprise was the finale to a Mickey Mouse card trick and ended the family's 14-month stint apart. The soldier heads back to Afghanistan in December to finish his tour.
