Red Cross raises $14,000 at CBS 6 for Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The American Red Cross manned a typhoon Haiyan Relief fundraiser Thursday afternoon between 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The kind women and men of Richmond called in and collectively donated $14,510 to the cause.

Earlier this week, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell urged Virginians to help storm victims in the Philippines recover. The storm, which killed thousands of people, left millions more in need.
