POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) — State police are investigating a deadly wreck that closed Huguenot Trail and Woolridge Road in Powhatan County Tuesday afternoon.
Police were dispatched around 5 p.m. after the driver of a vehicle ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.
The adult male driver died at the scene. The victim’s identity will be released pending next of kin notification.
As of 6:30 p.m., Huguenot Trail was closed and traffic was being detoured around the crash scene.
State police are investigating what caused the crash.
