Man dies in Dinwiddie crash

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The Virginia State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that happened early Sunday morning.

Around 7:15, a car ran off the left side of Zilles Road.  The driver overcorrected the car, crossed back over and ran off the right side as a result.  The car then flipped over and hit a tree.

27-year-old Alan R. Gregory, Jr. was the driver of the car and died at the scene.  According to police, he was not wearing a safety belt.

Zilles Road was reopened by 10 a.m.

Police are still investigating the accident.
