HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Richmond man charged in connection with a Henrico man’s murder last July is already in jail.

Henrico police said family members found 28-year-old Knighton Timothy Hill Jr. shot to death in a Henrico County driveway along the 3800 block of Broadgate Drive on July 30.

Officials announced Thursday that 27-year-old Sterling Norris Pittman, of the 300 block of E. 19th Street in Richmond, had been charged with use of a Firearm in a Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Pittman was already locked up in the Richmond City Jail on unrelated charges.

Police are not yet not releasing the motive for the murder.

Several neighbors in the area told police that they heard multiple gun shots, but immediately following the shots, things in the street were quiet.

“I didn’t see anything; didn’t see any cars, I don’t have any clue,” Cheryl Threatt, who lives a block away from where the shooting happened, told CBS 6 News’ Jake Burns.

Family members told CBS 6 reporter Jake Burns in July that a couple and their two adult children live in the home.
