TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) – It may be Halloween, but an incident in Tucson is reminiscent of another holiday.

A 15-year-old came who came home and realized he was locked out of his house Wednesday, decided he could not wait for mom to get home to let him inside.

As a result, he opted to climb up on the roof and shimmy down the chimney, just like Old St. Nick.

But the adventure did not go as planned. The teen became trapped in the tight space.

“I came home and I kept hearing these noises. And the next thing I hear this faint, ‘Mom, mom,’” said the boy’s mother, Tammy. “Never, never ever ever go down a chimney.”

Police were able to free the teen, who did not have any significant injuries, in about five minutes.

The boy’s mother said she had a long talk with him once he was loose. She said she told him this was the stupidest thing he has ever done.
