CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) - A Charlottesville man has Star Wars fans from around the world in frenzy. He found and is releasing some never before seen outtakes from the original Star Wars trilogy.

Charlie Owen, an avid collector, bought a laser disk on eBay for $700, and it's filled with 30 minutes of unseen footage from Episode VI "Return of the Jedi", much of it outtakes from the scene where Yoda and Luke Skywalker meet for the last time.

When he posted some of the video online it created excitement of galactic proportions. Now, in just one week, there are close to 28,000 Facebook fans looking for more video clips.

Owen said he's already had an offer to sell the disc for $10,000 but he says he has no intention of selling.

“Save it. Just go in my collection with all of my other stuff,” said Owen. “I'll probably have to get a lock box for it now. I wouldn't sell it. I am a collector. I'm not in it to make any money.”

You can see more videos on his Facebook page.

And a newly released Star Wars blooper reel has made its way onto the internet. An editor from Lucas film found the footage in the company's archives and put the clips together. You can see some of it here, on our website.
