RICHMOND, VA, (WTVR): Richmond Ballet celebrates its 30th Anniversary November 1-3 at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond Center Stage with three epic performances.

As per Richmond Ballet " This landmark program features George Balanchine’s elegant, neo-classical Serenade, the company premiere of Jerome Robbins’s fun and jazzy Fancy Free (which inspired the musical and the film, On the Town), as well as Salvatore Aiello’s primal and powerful The Rite of Spring (contains mature content – not recommended for young audiences), with the music of Tchaikovsky, Bernstein and Stravinsky brought to life by the Richmond Symphony, the 30th Anniversary Celebration performance celebrates the history of Richmond Ballet, the history of dance, and the history of music in the grandest of fashions!"

All performances are at the Carpenter Theatre at Richmond CenterStage, 600 E. Grace Street, Friday, November 1, 7:00pm, Saturday, November 2, 7:00pm and Sunday, November 3, 2:00pm.
