Brrrrr… frost, freeze likely

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – With drier, cooler Canadian air spilling over Appalachia into central Virginia, we’ll be even colder tonight than we were last night. Here were this Thursday morning’s low temperatures:

Freezing temperatures are likely in much of western Virginia tonight, where a Freeze Watch is in effect until mid-morning Friday.

For those of you east of this Watch, frost is likely on the grass and even your vehicle windows. Plan extra time to warm up your car Friday morning, and also make sure your pets are warm outdoors. Send the kids to the Bus Stop Friday morning with their coats, hats and gloves. Here’s a preview of some of the expected morning temperatures:

Saturday morning should be the coldest of this stretch, with temperatures around freezing in Richmond.
