Norfolk soldier killed in Kuwait

WASHINGTON (WTVR) – The Department of Defense announced on Saturday the death of a Norfolk soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

31-year-old Sergeant Lyle D. Tumbull died on Friday from a medical emergency in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.  His death is still under investigation.

Turnbull was assigned to the 62nd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas.
