CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR)--Closure has never come for Dan and Gill Harrington.

"Somebody killed my daughter and that person is out living their lives," said Dan Harrington.

Thursday marks the four year anniversary of the abduction and later the murder of their 20-year-old daughter Morgan.

Her story captured the country.  While attending a Metallica concert near UVA, at the John Paul Jones Arena, she became separated from her friends and she vanished. Months later investigators would find her remains on a nearby farm in Albermarle County.

The Harrington’s made a return trip on the anniversary to the Copely bridge where police say Morgan was last seen before she disappeared. Also on that bridge Thursday was the mother of missing Nelson County teen Alexis Murphy.

"It's a pretty emotional day-- just to talk about her makes me cry," said Laura Murphy.

Four years beyond Murphy’s moment, Gill Harrington remembers that a parallel pain.

"We'll return all the compassion we received and definitely help this family," said Gill Harrington.

To help prevent this pain in the future, the Harringtons have started "Save the Next Girl", an organization  to raise awareness about stories like Morgan's.

"We don’t want bad things to happen to young people, I think women need to look out for each other," said Dan Harrington.
