DANVILLE, Va. (WTVR) -- Police need help finding the two people who donned Halloween masks and fatally stabbed a gas station worker last month in Danville.

Officials said two men wearing the Halloween masks attacked Gilmore Cowan in the parking lot of the Airport Pure gas station on South Boston Road on Sept. 30. Police said the attack happened as Cowan was getting into a friend’s car.

Police discovered the masks after the murder.

Investigators, who believe one of the suspects was cut during the attack, hope someone will recognize the masks -- or spot a suspicious injury and alert police.
