Police link suspects to string of McDonald’s robberies

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Several adults and minor are now charged in connection with multiple robberies at McDonald's restaurants in Central Virginia.

CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett broke news of the arrests late last week.

Three of the five suspects were arrested last week during a traffic stop following the robbery of a McDonald's in Dinwiddie County.

Cornelius E. Clayton, 19, London S. Cotman, 18, Robert L. Booker, 19, and Durrell Graves, 27, are all charged with the Dinwiddie robbery, according to Chesterfield Police.

Shatik U. Jackson, 19,  Clayton, Cotman and a 16-year-old are all also charged with the Aug. 9 robbery at a McDonald's on Hancock Village Street, the Sept. 2 robbery on Hull Street Rd. and the Sept. 2 robbery on Willis Rd.

Additionally, Clayton, Cotman, Jackson and the 16-year-old were charged in connection with another robbery at a McDonald's in New Kent County. That robbery happened on Aug. 26 at the McDonald's in the 2100 block of Pocahontas Trail in Quinton.

The adults are being held without bond in Chesterfield County Jail. The 16-year-old suspect is being held at the Chesterfield Juvenile Detention Home.
