Richmond, we hope you’re ready. Not only has the universe provided these legitimately fun things to do, but the weather will gloriously accommodate them all. Get your game plan prepared! Go! Enjoy!

FESTIVAL OF INDIA

This event started in 1981 and brings tens of thousands to the Greater Richmond Convention Center every year. Expect different vendors with authentic, regional Indian food like samosas, curry and biryani. Entertainment is abundant with dancing and music. Plenty of booths set up for shopping.

Free entry. Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

More info here.

ITALIAN FOOD FESTIVAL

Your chance to live la dolce vita in the 17th Street Farmers Market, which will be magically transformed into an authentic Italian village for this year’s 9th Annual Italian Festival.

The festival charity of choice is The Faison School, a non-profit autism center dedicated to providing resources for families of children with autism. The festival will also support the VCU Italian Studies Program by providing financial assistance to students who are studying our Italian culture and heritage and the Richmond Wounded Warrior Program.

It’s free to enter, but food costs vary per vendor.

Directions, hours and more info, here.

OFF THE RAILS CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL AND FUNDRAISER

Local beers, food trucks and music make fundraisers that much better.

Admission to the festival for children under 12 is free. Admission to the event is $10. Adult attendees will receive a commemorative glass with admission, while supplies last. A 2 oz. tasting is $1; full glasses sell for $6.

The event will offer beers from small, local breweries including the Center of the Universe Brewing Company, Legend Brewery, the Hardywood Park Craft Brewery and others.

Gourmet food trucks and live music from The Bush League and The Big Payback will be featured.

Saturday only!
