The national average price is $3.49 a gallon.

“Gasoline prices continue to move lower nationally as we’ve now officially moved into fall,” GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan said. “Looking forward, we’re likely to see additional relief at pumps in the months ahead, and it’s quite possible that by the time we’re observing Thanksgiving that gasoline prices will be twenty or more cents per gallon lower.”

Richmond gas prices are 47 cents per gallon lower today than last year at this time.
