RICHMOND (WTVR) – The Hermitage Panthers suffered their first regular season loss in 40 games on Friday night when they fell to Colonial Forge in double overtime.

Or did they?

Game tape posted to Facebook by Panthers assistant coach Jaycen King appears to show that an extra point in the first OT by Colonial Forge was wide left, but ruled good by the officials on field. Had the kick been ruled no good, Hermitage would have won 28-27.

Head Coach Patrick Kane alluded to an appeal on Monday. “The appeal goes to the commissioner of the Rappahanock official assoc who was the head referee of the game.  They answer to no one.” Kane said in an email.

“VHSL has no say so.”

Coach King provides some damning commentary as he explains how he feels the officials blew the call. You be the judge.
