RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - "If you’re selling drugs from your car and honking to alert your customers that you’re outside, you may also want to pay attention to the police officer sitting next door at a neighborhood meeting."

That was the advice Richmond Police posted on Facebook Friday morning.

The advice comes after the recent arrest of a suspected drug dealer whose "repeated honking" interrupted a community meeting on Williamsburg Rd.

Police said when the officer approached 24-year-old Brian Morris's car to figure out what was going on -- Morris was watching his in-car TV and did not notice the officer until the officer was standing right next to the vehicle.

"As the driver looked up, his eyes got wide," Richmond Police wrote on Facebook. "There was a bag of crack cocaine in the man’s lap. A further search revealed thousands of dollars in cash on the man’s person as well as a scale, a bag of heroin and firearm."

Morris, of Wheelwood Way in Henrico, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and gun charges, according to police.

Police said Morris man was watching a show about "drug dealing" when the officer made the arrest.

He is a convicted felon and could face up to 25 years in prison.
