CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Three Chesterfield firefighters injured in the line of duty around 8 p.m. Monday have been treated and released from Johnson-Willis Hospital.

The firefighters were hurt working a house fire in the 2200 block of Greenfield Drive, near Robious Road when the roof collapsed on them.

Officials said the fire started outside the home as a result of a vehicle fire, which spread to a carport, then to the exterior of the house and attic.

It took 35 minutes to mark the fire under control.
