Date announced for Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape

POWHATAN, Va. (WTVR) — The date for this year’s Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape have been announced.

The 11th annual event, which features wines from 30 different Virginia wineries, will take place in Powhatan’s historic Courthouse Square on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Over 100 local artists and craftspeople will be showing off their wares and there will be live music from Casper and Steve Bassett & Fat Ammons with the Mystic Soul Bubbas. For the foodies, 14 regional food vendors will be on-site.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 on the day of the event, with “non-tasting” tickets available for $20 at the gate. They can be purchased at the Chesterfield Town Center customer service desk, or online at PowhatanWineFestival.com.

This year’s event benefactor is the Free Clinic of Powhatan.
