WASHINGTON (CNN) — There’s a new Obama in town.
Twitter Monday, first lady Michelle Obama sent a photo of a new addition to the family: Sunny, a female Portuguese Water Dog.
She joins Bo, the male Portuguese Water Dog the Obamas got when they first arrived at the White House. The breed is hypoallergenic, meaning the dogs won’t affect first daughter Malia’s canine allergies.
In a post on the White House’s website, Sunny is described as “full of energy and very affectionate,” whose name was chosen to “fit her cheerful personality.”
The Obamas made a donation to the Washington Humane Society in honor of their newest pet.
