Police ID teen killed in Saturday homicide

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Richmond police are investigating a deadly shooting at the 1400 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard.

Police received a call about a person shot around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Grick Lamont Ellis, of the 2400 block of North 23rd Street, shot in the street.

The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center where he died.

Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the crime — or heard anything — to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
