WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WTVR) -- Authorities are trying to find a truck driver wanted in connection with a death investigation on I-64 in New Kent County Tuesday morning.

Virginia State Police said troopers were called about a dead body on I-64 around Henpeck Road Overpass around 1:30 a.m.

Police said the man had been struck by several passing vehicles. Police were looking for the driver of a white tractor-trailer with front driver’s side damage that left the scene. Physical evidence of the tractor trailer at the scene connected it to the wreck, according to state police.

Authorities later found a tractor-trailer matching that description outside a business in the 7800 block of Pocahontas Trail in Williamsburg. That's where the Anheuser-Busch Brewery and Busch Gardens are located.

The brewery released a statement Wednesday afternoon.

"We understand from reports that a truck owned by a company that transports our products may have been involved in an accident early Tuesday morning. We will assist with authorities in any investigation," Anheuser-Busch Williamsburg Brewery General Manager Rick Shippey said in a statement.

The victim's body was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond for positive identification.
