SPRINGFIELD, Va. (CNN)—A recently installed security camera system caught a mob attack on a Fairfax teen.

Jack Webb installed the cameras two months ago after a series of break-ins on his work van, reports WJLA. "It’s pretty serious," he said. "When I saw the beating this one individual was taking, it looked to me like he wasn't going to be getting up again."

The video shows one attacker stomps on the victim, followed by another in the mob delivering body blows. A bystander female lightly pummels one of the attackers; perhaps a friend of the victim.

Webb said he had just gone to bed when he heard hollering and screaming. A crowd of about 60 teenagers and twenty-somethings were at a party next door, reports WJLA. A high school student was hosting the party and told WJLA off-camera that no one in the mob was actually invited. The student claimed his address was blasted on social media.

Webb thought the situation was out of control and he called 911.

Fairfax County Police now have the tape, and officers canvassed the neighborhood Tuesday, in hope to find witnesses. As of now, the victim hasn’t even come forward.

Police told WJLA the same thing they told Webb:

"Unless the victim is willing to press charges, there wouldn't be too much else we could do."

Neighbors interviewed by WJLA said it is disturbing to know that somewhere nearby a teen is so badly injured--and that his attackers likely believe they got away with it.
