RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Police are looking for the person who stole food from a South Richmond church. Police said someone broke into the Mount Olive Baptist Church on Bells Road twice in the last month and made off with food.
This latest incident is believed to have happened sometime last weekend.
Police said in both cases the suspects broke through a window to get in. The first time they went unnoticed, but the second time the church’s alarm went off.
Church members said the stolen food was supposed to go to help feed members of the community. The church helps feed about 400 people a week.
The church is now considering putting bars on the windows to keep this from happening again.
