RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) –  Once again, Robert Griffin III is the center of attention. He spoke to the media after this morning’s practice and gave an update on the progress of his knee after three practices.

Griffin reported that he has as much strength in his injured knee as he did before he got hurt. And that after another full week of practice, the coaching staff may be ready to let him take part in more drills as long as he doesn’t re-injure his knee.

Crowds this morning were understandably smaller than last week with about 2,500 showing up for the early practice.

RG3 also commented on if all the attention from the fans ever gets to be too much:

“That’s why we’re out here. That’s why we’re in Richmond, to showcase what we’re here for, the team that we have and just give the fans support from us that we feel like they deserve,” he said. “They’re the reason that we make so much money and get to play the game that we love for a living, so I don’t really worry about that [post-practice safety]. There’s security here, so if things really do get out of hand, you’ve just got to lean on those guys, but I try to sign as much as I can after the afternoon practices and really show the fans that we do care.”
