HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) –  A teenager faces up to 40 years in prison for setting fires that caused nearly $1 million in damage in one Mechanicsville neighborhood.

Jacob Spiro pleaded guilty to three felony arson charges in connection to fires set last year in the King’s Charter subdivision.

No one was seriously injured in the fires, but one caused significant damage to the neighborhood’s pool and clubhouse.CBS 6 was there when the clubhouse reopened earlier this month.

Spiro will be officially sentenced later this year.

CBS 6 reporter Shelby Brown was in court today when Spiro entered his plea. She spoke with one woman who was inside a building when Spiro set it on fire. Watch her report below.
