ATLANTA – For her entire twenties, Lauraine Frank lived with either the specter or the reality of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

“I was first diagnosed when I was 21,” she recalled. “I did cry, but then I said, ‘what can we do? How am i going to beat this?'”

She asked those questions again when she was diagnosed a second time, then a third, then a fourth. During her last bout, Frank wrote a lot on her blog and found a community of friends and family offering support.

“It just meant so much to me, and I got it in my head at that time, when I’m healthy and able, I’m gonna pay it forward to people,” she said. “I’m doing 30 random acts of kindness for my 30th birthday.”
