(WTVR) – According to the Guardian, Venezuela became the third country on Sunday to offer NSA leaker Edward Snowden a political asylum, after Bolivia and Nicaragua.

Snowden is accused of releasing classified information about two government surveillance programs and has been staying at a Russian airport since the end of June.

Russian politician Alexei Pushkov said in a tweet on Saturday that Snowden should consider taking Venezuela’s offer.
