(WTVR) -- The popular Facebook owned photo sharing app Instagram, may look to compete with video sharing services like Vine.

That's according to a Tech Crunch report that says Facebook may add video sharing capabilities to Instagram. According to the popular technology news service, a source from Facebook says the announcement could come as soon as June 20. Then users will be able to use their same Instagram account to share short videos.

If the source proves to be true, Instagram could ride the popularity of video sharing apps like Vine, Viddy, Cinemagram and Socialcam.
