Three Central Region Teams will play for State Titles

The Hanover Hawks baseball team advance to the Group AAA State Final for the first time since 2009 by beating Oakton 9-8.  They will play Great Bridge for the final AAA State title.

Deep Run's girls soccer team beat Colonial Forge 1-0 in overtime to make it to their first State Title game in school history.  The Wildcats will play Battlefield in the championship game.

Cosby boys soccer team will also play for a State Title as they defeated Oakton 1-0.  They will play Mt. Vernon in the championship game.  The Majors edged Midlothian 2-1, ending the Trojans season.

The Cosby softball team lost to Great Bridge 9-1 in the state semifinals, ending their reign as State Champions.

Goochland's softball team will play in the Group Single A championship game after a 3-1 win over James River.

The UVA baseball team lost to Mississippi State 11-6 in the first game of the Charlottesville Super Regional.

Former Richmond Spider and Hanover standout Jake Mayers was taken by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 19th round of the MLB draft.
