The new menu called “After Midnight” not only is a menu that’s open late, but it allows customers to mix and match breakfast items with regular menu items.
J.M. Owens, the president of the Greater Atlanta McDonald’s Operators Association said in an interview with Burger Business, limitations for many kitchens in offering both breakfast and lunch items at once is the amount of space in many kitchens.
The new menu is aimed at the night owl demographic which craves a late night burger and yearns for a breakfast sandwich long before most people are out of bed.
Most 24-hour McDonald’s locations only offer lunch items after midnight.
But the new “After Midnight” menu will also offer breakfast items.
The new menu will be rolling out at select 24-hour locations across the U.S. this month.
Right now there are 14,000 restaurants open 24-hours. The company said they are looking to expand that number.
