RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The man who hit and killed a Richmond bicyclist will be sentenced in July. Eli Webb’s May 16 sentencing has been rescheduled for July 2.

A jury found Webb guilty of felony hit and run in the death of Lanie Kruszewski. Webb left the scene of the deadly accident last summer on River Road in Richmond. Police said Webb hit Kruszewski, 24, while she rode her bicycle home from work at night.
Webb came forward days after the accident and told police he thought he had hit a deer.
A jury recommended Webb serve three years in prison.
