RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — There will be some off and on showers overnight with just the slight chance of some thunder. It will remain very humid with areas of fog possible.

Occasional showers and storms are likely throughout Monday.  A few isolated storms could be strong Monday afternoon, mostly near and east of I-95.

Due to the high humidity, thunderstorms will drop heavy rainfall.  One inch of rain is possible within a thirty-minute time period.  So, areas that see repeated storms could pick up some high rainfall totals.

Locations that are hit by repeated storms may see rainfall totals over three inches, causing isolated poor-drainage flooding.

Rain will exit the area by daybreak Tuesday, and it will be followed by much less humid air Tuesday into Wednesday.
