Fort Lee soldiers leave for Afghanistan

FORT LEE, Va.  (WTVR) – After spending Memorial Day at home with family, a group of Fort Lee soldiers is now heading to Afghanistan and Kuwait.

A celebration was held Tuesday afternoon for members of the 54th Quartermaster Company.

The unit will spend the next 6 months serving overseas as a part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
