RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – VDOT has issued several traffic alerts and delays that may affect your travel plans through the end of May.

On Saturday, May 25, crews will direct dump trucks in and out of the travel lanes between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

If you’re crossing the bridge on Tuesday, you should expect some delays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Crews will be stopping traffic to stripe the pavement.

Shoulders on top of the bridge will be closed on Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in order to finish the final bridge work. You should also expect some delays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. as flaggers direct dump trucks in and out of the lanes.

On Thursday, May 30, one of the lanes will be closed on Riverside Drive for guard rail installation.

Flaggers will also be directing dump trucks through the travel lanes on both Thursday and Friday.

VDOT recommends drivers to use alternate routes to avoid delays.

To get to the north end of Huguenot Road, you could take Chippehnam Parkway north to the Willey Bridge to River Road east to Huguenot Road. You can also use the Powhite Parkway.

To head southbound on Huguenot, you can take River Road to Chippenham Parkway and get off at Huguenot Road.
