Cancer survivors raise awareness about blood cancers

RICHMOND, Va (WTVR) – Each year more than 12,000 Americans are diagnosed with a blood cancer, such as Leukemia and Lymphoma. The ‘Be The Match Registry,’ is an option to help find a cure.

On Saturday, June 1 ‘Be The Match’ is hosting a walk and a run at Monroe Park to raise awareness and you are invited.

Rebecca Mathis, spokesperson for Be The Match, and Rocky Pocock, a Richmond marrow transplant recipient, along with Denise Pocock, his caregiver shared more about their experience.

The ‘Be The Match Walk and Run’ is Saturday, June 1 at Monroe Park.
