CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A fund has been established to help the family of a teenager killed in a weekend hit and run. According to the gofundme.com website, the money will be used to help pay for Nikki West’s funeral and support her 7-month-old son.

West, 19,  was hit and killed early Saturday morning outside her home along the 3000 block of Turner Road in Chesterfield. Police have not released any information about the vehicle that hit West. Police did ask anyone with information to call 804-748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.

Brenda West said her daughter invited some friends over on Friday night. She said Nikki left the house because she got into an argument with an ex-boyfriend.

“I don’t know if she was just so mad that she didn’t pay attention.  I don’t know.  I mean, she knows that street,” West said. “She always said it’s dangerous, and I don’t know why she did it.”

Nikki West graduated from Manchester High School last spring.
