(WTVR) - Ice began crawling through a Minnesota neighborhood this weekend as strong winds, up to 40 m.p.h. from the lake,  pushed a wall of ice onto the shorelines.

In Millie Lacs, Minn., a 10-mile stretch of beach became covered in ice, in some spots as tall as 30 feet! Crews are using heavy equipment to move the ice away from homes after the force of the ice caused damage to doors and windows.

Neighbors say it was frightening to watch.
